Holiday parties: Everything You Need to Know

With the Christmas season in full swing, it’s time to start thinking about holiday office parties. There is a lot of pressure when it comes to these events; you want everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves but don’t know what kind of food and drinks to serve. We’ve got all the details on how you can plan this event flawlessly!

-Keep the decorations simple and don’t spend too much money. People will remember the experience more than the fancy garlands.

-Make sure there is enough food for everyone, only serving the main course if you think people will go hungry without it. Or, instead of serving a sit-down dinner, try buffet style with lots of different options for people. Stay away from heavy, greasy foods. Instead, opt for a lighter fare such as veggie platters and mini quiches.

-When it comes to drinks, keep it simple with either a signature cocktail or sparkling wine. Ensure that non-alcoholic beverages are also available so those who don’t drink alcohol can still enjoy themselves. Also, stock up on plenty of water to avoid dehydration from alcohol consumption. You don’t want anyone getting sick over the holidays!

-Plan games and activities that everyone can participate in such as charades or a gift exchange.

-Take lots of pictures throughout the night and send them out in a group email to everyone who attended! Even better, set up a photo booth to capture all the memories from the night!

-Mingle with your coworkers. These parties are great opportunities to bond with your colleagues

-It should go without saying but please avoid drinking too much! There is nothing worse than being hungover during the work day.

-Keep it classy and formal by wearing a dress or slacks along with an office-appropriate sweater. If you are not sure, just stick to business casual for this event.

We hope these tips help you plan the perfect office holiday party! Enjoy yourselves and have a happy holiday.
