For Finance

See every dollar of appreciation

Appreciation spend is usually scattered across expense cards, departments, and someone's personal Amazon account. Thankscrate puts it under one set of rules with a budget per occasion, billing at real cost, and a full record of every gift.

The return

What appreciation returns

We do not publish an ROI figure of our own. The research on recognition is recent, large, and consistent, so we cite it and link it, and we would rather measure the return with you than assert it.

  • 45%

less likely to have left two years later, among employees who received high-quality recognition

  • as likely to be engaged when recognition meets four of Gallup's five pillars

  • 25,285

employees in a 2025 study where recognition was the strongest driver of engagement measured

  • 40% to 200%

of annual salary to replace an employee, from frontline roles to leadership

Appreciation does not make anyone stay. It is what the research links to staying, at a fraction of one departure. Replacement share from Gallup, 2024; gifts at this site's example tiers. An illustration, not a promise.

Prove it with us

Help us measure what appreciation returns

We are looking for organizations that want to measure appreciation's effect on satisfaction, retention, engagement, and productivity among their own people: a program that runs for a year, a comparison group, and data both sides can stand behind. You get the program and the analysis. We get evidence we can publish.

  • A twelve-month program on your occasions and budgets
  • Baseline and follow-up measures you already collect, plus ours
  • Results shared with you first, published only with your approval

Questions

Common questions

Quick answers.

Can we require approval before a gift is sent?

Spend is controlled by the gift tier set per occasion, and every send is recorded and invoiced. Approval workflows and department-level budget splits are not part of the platform yet.

What do we pay for, and when?

Each gift, when its order is placed, about ten days before the occasion. There is no monthly fee by default, no inventory to buy up front, and every charge comes with an invoice. If the recipient is choosing their own gift, you are not charged until they choose.

Do you mark up gifts?

No. A gift is billed at cost with shipping and handling included, on every tier, and a gift tier is a ceiling rather than a price. Digital gift cards carry a 15% service fee on the face value, shown before you send.

Can we export the history?

Orders, amounts, and statuses are filterable in the app, and every charge has a downloadable invoice in billing history. Ask us during a demo about the exports your finance team needs.

Can we control budgets?

Yes. Every occasion has a gift tier, which is a budget range. You're billed the real cost of the gift, never above the tier's maximum.
