New hire welcome

The same welcome for every new hire

First impressions depend on which manager a new hire got. Thankscrate makes the welcome part of the program. A new hire appears from your HRIS with their start date, the welcome occasion is created, the manager writes the note, and a gift arrives in their first days.

Why it gets missed

Welcome is not on the checklist

Laptops, logins, and forms are tracked. Whether anyone made the person feel expected depends on the team. Turn on the welcome occasion once and every new hire, in every department and location, gets the same start.

  • Turn it on once and every new hire inherits it
  • Remote and field hires included
  • Consistent across managers and locations

Managers send inside these. Nothing to learn, nothing to approve.

How it runs

The welcome follows the new hire

When a new hire is added to your HRIS, they appear in Thankscrate within minutes with their start date. The welcome occasion is created, the manager gets a prompt to write the note, and the gift is ordered against the budget you set. Send it ahead of day one or in the first week.

  • New hires arrive by push from your HRIS
  • Manager prompted for the note
  • Choose day-one or first-week timing

What arrives

A gift before the first meeting

A curated Thankscrate to a confirmed address with a printed card, or a digital gift card on the day for someone starting remote. Let them choose from a curated set if you would rather not guess.

  • Curated Thankscrates or gift cards
  • A card with the manager's message
  • Recipient confirms their own address

An occasion you turn on

Questions

Common questions

Quick answers.

What about remote and international teammates?

Addresses are verified against USPS data before anything ships, and recipients can confirm or update their own address. Physical Thankscrates ship within the U.S. Teammates outside the U.S. receive digital gift cards.

Do you handle holidays and onboarding too?

Yes. Beyond birthdays and work anniversaries there are dozens of occasions, including company-wide holidays, new-hire welcomes, promotions, and life events. Turn on the ones you want. Each has its own budget and timing.
