Why we do this
For the people who pay it forward
Nonprofits run on people who give more than the job asks, and they are often the last ones anyone stops to thank. Appreciation should not depend on room in the software budget, so we take the software off the bill.
- The same platform companies pay for, at no cost
- Every dollar goes to a gift, never to a seat or a fee
- From a Good Human Company, for the organizations doing good
Rosa,
Five years of Saturday mornings at the pantry. You know every family's name, and they light up when they see you. We could not do this without you. Thank you.

Who you can thank
Everyone who keeps the mission going
Staff come in from payroll or a spreadsheet. Volunteers, donors, board members, and sponsors come in as contacts, each with the moments that matter to them.
- Staff: birthdays, work anniversaries, and new hire welcomes
- Donors: giving anniversaries every year, and campaign thank-yous
- Volunteers: season wrap-ups and the thank-you that says someone noticed
- Board and partners: milestones, events, and sponsors, every gift on record

Personal, with a small team
A real note on every gift, written in minutes
About two weeks before an occasion, Thankscrate asks for a personal message. Write it yourself, or share a link so a program lead or volunteer coordinator can write it, no account needed. The note is printed on the card that ships with the gift.
- Reminders until the message is written
- The recipient chooses from a curated catalog
- Your team stays on the mission while Thankscrate keeps the dates
Gloria's 10-year giving anniversary is on Oct 14
Hi Dana. Gloria Reyes made her first gift ten years ago on October 14. A Thankscrate is scheduled. Write a few lines and we will print them on the card that ships with it.

Questions
The fine print, in plain words
If your question is not here, ask it on the call.
Who qualifies?
Any registered nonprofit organization, including 501(c)(3) charities and other 501(c) organizations. Book a call and we confirm your status before setting up your account.
How do you verify nonprofit status?
Bring your organization's legal name and EIN to the call. We confirm registered status, usually within one business day, and then set your account up on Scale at no cost.
What happens after the call?
Once your status is confirmed, we set up your account, help you bring in your people, and walk through the first occasions with you. There is nothing to pay until you send a gift.
Can we thank volunteers and donors who are not on payroll?
Yes. Add them as contacts, one at a time or from a spreadsheet, and send them a gift with a personal message whenever there is a reason. Donor giving anniversaries can go on the calendar like any other occasion.
Can we use it for events and campaigns?
Yes. Send a gift with a personal message to anyone in your program any day, so a gala, a campaign close, or a volunteer season wrap-up can each get its own thank-you, with every gift and what it cost on record.
Is there a contract or a minimum spend?
No. There is no contract and no minimum. Send gifts when it makes sense for your organization and pay only for what you send.
Book a call about nonprofit access
